Desmond has been featured in Good Morning America and is being hailed by media as the latest mascot of LGBT rights.
Napoles's parents stated that at the age of two or three, they understood that he was "likely gay" and they exposed him to a variety of gay culture, including showing him drag performances and taking him to pride parades. Napoles's parents stated that he was "openly gay" when he entered kindergarten.[1]

What's your take? Mine is that this is about normalizing pederastry by saying it's about the children having rights. A very different angle from the old approach.
For example in The History of Sexuality, Foucault focused on how "petty" it was to persecute adults who had sexual encounters with kids. Foucault lead the charge to abolish AoC from this angle: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_ ... nsent_laws
But. This movement was grounded in adult rights. Desmond represents the beginning of a movement to argue pederastry is something for the sake of kids, which I think will be more successful.
