That said, Mongolian and northern Amerindian music often includes throat singing, so I can see a possible reason why you like both? I don't know, though.
Throat singing mixes well with metal, and that is part of what I like about the Mongolian stuff; but the Native American stuff I've been listening to is mostly Peruvian and does not have throat singing.

Ah, right. I've heard the Inuit do a lot of really good throat singing. Not a fan myself, but I can see the attraction.

Traditional Mongolian throat singing isn't really my thing, but it works better when you add a nice guitar riff. Plus some of the videos have a cool aesthetic that's like a weird mix of Genghis Khan's cavalry and a biker gang.
