That's a terrible analogy. There are plenty of ways down into the Grand Canyon, people take them every day.

Wait, actually, that's a great analogy. Going to the Grand Canyon is a perfectly enjoyable thing people are capable of doing on a regular basis and there's people jumping up and down and screaming, "YOU'RE GOING TO FALL TO YOUR DOOOOOOOM!" while everyone else wonders what they're on about, they're just going to take this sweet donkey ride and dig all the natural beauty.

I mean like jumping off the edge.

The appropriate safeguards are already in place for that not to be a catastrophe.

I'm interested, but that would be off-topic.

nothings off topic in politics like just yesterday a video played by cbs evening news showed that beto somehow tried to shoehorn trump into what happened in Christchurch and then try to blame him for a fire bombing of a mosque right after he issued the travel ban. so he's helping the Democratic candidates by digging their hole deeper and deeper while several others are shooting themselves in the foot.

Sad part is that Beto O'Rourke actually takes himself seriously. Can you imagine a Donald Trump-Beto O'Rourke match up? Eeek.

"You call up assassins from Assassins Creed and think it's just a reality show, Mr. President!"
"At least they're alpha males, not like Beta Beto!"

Do I have concerns about Bernie dying in office? No more so than any other president. We've only had 2 presidents die in office of natural causes (Harrison and Roosevelt) but 4 died of assassination (Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy). And Bernie shows that he is still active and sound of mind, having stuck to his guns for what? 40 some years and still pounding out the same rhetoric? Dude has more energy than me even - I get worn out just walking a few blocks to turn in books at my local library, Bernie does something like 17 campaign stops in 15 states in around that same number of days or so. I can barely even stomach flying, letting alone being on a plane cross country repeatedly for two weeks (and more, considering he was pinballing around before and after those stops).

But trying to use age as a disqualifier beyond that established in the US Constitution is ageist.

Zachary Taylor and Warren Harding also died of natural causes (both of whom, coincidentally, had atrocious VPs). Regardless, ageism isn't an irrelevant metric by which to say, maybe Bernie Sanders isn't the best candidate for this position... Unless, what you're really up to is shooting any and all criticism of Sanders down as illegitimate, somehow, to begin with.

None of these people would fix the problems in society, though I will probably vote for either Sanders or Yang simply to remove Trump from office.

Yang is being backed and bolstered by alt-right elements, just sayin’...most likely to attempt to split the vote.

Bernie cut his head on the edge of a glass shower door yesterday, got seven stitches at a walk-in clinic, and he's still going to all his scheduled campaign events. I'm not sure I'd be able to do all the events and travelling he does, especially after a cut to the head like that, and I'm 30.

Ol’ Bernie seems to be one of those "Why won’t you DIE!?" (you must read this with Raiden’s voice) old people that will literally outmaneuver death everytime.

My own grandmother is the same type of tough cookie, albeit it is finally catching up to her.

Bernie Antichrist conspiracies start acting up due to the mark on his head and head wound bible passages.

Welp, there goes my pick of someone who's just a socialist and not a possible antichrist candidate.

The world is fucked up.

Bernie’s like Satan-he’s fighting for the workers. So, guess you’re right.

I'm aware but Yang isn't alt-right. He's bourgeois capitalist, but he is the only person taking the impacts of widespread automation seriously and how to help people. He's far from perfect; none of them are exactly the kind of person I'd want in the White House but Trump needs to go.

Still, he's better than any opposition declared so far.

Raised taxes on the proletariat to fund tax breaks for the 1%? Buggered American manufacturing under the pretence of protecting it?

Most received tax breaks.

The economy is doing great, unemployment is at record lows, there are more jobs than people to fill them. Your (and the lefts in general) pig-headed refusal to acknowledge this due to your hate-boners doesn't make the facts go away.

After exploring for god knows how long, Senator Gillibrand officially announces she's running. I honestly don't see her getting the nomination.

The extent to which the President can be considered directly responsible for the economy is hotly debatable at best.
