Qualifying for the debate won't be their metric, they'll have to look at their map. You can qualify for the debate and still not feel that you have the infrastructure or support strong enough to have a strong debate showing make a difference. Even in years when the process doesn't resemble a clown car a lot of the people who declare this early tap out long before the campaigns really get underway.

Anyhow, I would like to announce I am seriously considering running for City Council.
Almost wrote President, oops.

I'll have my speech, policy positions, etc. tomorrow. It's 1020PM here man, I'm good with improvised speeches but too tired to bother.

I will say the shooting yesterday solidified my intent to most likely run. I am 95% leaning towards running, the other 5% is stuff that just needs to be worked out before I commit to it.

If you really going to run for city council, you could make an entry here, but honestly, NSG is not the best place for personal sort of stuff like that.

The more I think about the closer Buttigieg gets to my top choice. Don't know why, but there's something I like about him.

Or, perhaps, the absence of some things that I don't like that other candidates have.

At the moment, I tend to agree. At the most basic level, he seems to have a tone and M.O. that is refreshing. I've watched a few clips of his recent town hall, and he seems like he could resonate with a lot of people as long as he gets national recognition.

He's also young and seems in-tune with the issues that my generation (millennials/post-millennials) cares about the most; while age isn't my top criterion, I certainly tend to prefer younger candidates.
