As someone who's not a fan of AOC to begin with, this hate hard-on some people have for her is weird as fuck.

It's simple arithmetic. Sum the hate for her being a woman, her being brown, her being young, and multiply that by the Commie Factor. That's why Bernie doesn't get it half as bad, he's just as commie but he's an old white man. Smaller base hate.

Or, consider the possibility that she is disliked because she is being pushed into the media while being painfully incompetent. A politician who has thus far stated that "unemployment is low because people work two jobs", has claimed that people worry too much about "being factually correct" instead of being "morally right", openly endorses the abolition of ICE, and not to forget has yet again humiliated herself with that 14 page resolution for the "Green New Deal", usually does get disliked for a reason.

That does seem more plausible than the identitarian nonsensical bunch of reasons you wrote, doesn't it?

Some Hispanics are white. Hispanic doesn't mean, in common parlance, from Spain, but from Latin American countries. There are Hispanics who are black and, most commonly in cultural perceptions, Hispanics who are mixed race, typically primarily between long admixtures of Europeans and natives and the resulting population. Furthermore, as race is a cultural construct, regardless of how white you think she is, she's not seen as white by most Americans. This is, in fact, the first time I've heard anyone accuse her of being white.

The hatred directed towards Trump is fuelled by more than simple policy disagreement, yes. I don't think many people hate him for being an old, white man, but other than that I would agree.

That is a thing. You see it in transphobes getting super mad at the word "cisgender", saying it's a slur. They don't want there to be a word for people who aren't trans, because they want to frame themselves as "normal" and trans people as "not normal". I bet the same thing happens with racists wanting to frame it as "You're either white or non-white", as if white is normal and everyone else is not normal.
