She's not pro-Assad, she's anti al-Queda.

Two possible outcomes for Syria: Assad wins, or Syria collapses into a failed state where radical Islamist extremists run wild. Pick one. Tulsi Gabbard is one of the few people who had the common sense to think "Yeah Assad is an asshole, but holy shit why is the US government arming al-Queda?"

And so what if she was homophobic in the past? Most people alive today were homophobic at one point in their life. We're all shaped by our environment, influenced by religion and culture. What matters is realizing you were wrong and then doing what you can to fight for justice, and all of her actions as a Congresswoman have been 100% pro-LGBT. We can't all be expected to be enlightened from the day we're born.

Yup. Assad is not the best choice, but we need stability in Syria and Middle East in general and the last thing the world needs is another terrorist state.

Gabbard is the candidate I'd like to see as the Democratic nominee. Aside from liking her experience, voting record, change in stances, and willingness to critique members of her own party, I think she also would have a nice intersection of "firsts" if she was elected. She's got ethnicity/race, religion, location of birth, and sex going for her on that front... not that they should be a primary or even secondary factor for voting for her.

However, I feel that Warren or Harris would be likely candidates out of those either with a campaign or an exploratory committee. Unless Bernie or Biden throw their hats in the ring, they have the most name recognition.

How so flip-floppy? As John Maynard Keyne said, "When my information changes, I alter my conclusions. What do you do, sir?" It is alright for a politician to change their mind if they find new information on an issue.

John Maynard Keynes also said "in the long run we're all dead" so I'm not sure he would care about any of that green energy crap she's spouting

I'd say Trump could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and can walk through this election blindfolded and still win.

Trump's presidency so far is:

- Disrespecting fallen WW1 soldiers beacuse light rain
- Lowering CDC funding
- Stopping NASA from measuring carbon levels
- Let his FCC stomp out Net Neutrality
- Holding the government hostage beacuse congress said no to his wall
- Blaming school shootings on video games
- Separating Migrant Families

All the US needs is someone sane to replace him as president, and the dems can provide.

Also no one gives a shit about the candidates being white males. That doesn't factor in at all.

demonstrably false, even in the post above mine

democrats are obsessed with non-issues like race and gender, and couldn't wait to elect the "FIRST WOMAN" and the "FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN" and a heap of other "FIRSTS" because FIRST = PROGESS.

You need to grind more on that reading comprehension skill. At best race and gender are a minor detail mentioned in passing.

Democrats are not obsessed with race and gender, that's what the propaganda you read says. Not realty.

You who voted for Stein, who voted for Johnson, who were too butthurt over Bernie to bother to vote or who couldn't bring yourself to vote for the most qualified Presidential candidate in my long lifetime because she was a woman, remember that this is on you. The longest shutdown in history to feed a fragile narcissist's ego. A White House that most resembles a knife fight in a clown car towing a dumpster fire over a cliff. Supine submission in the Senate. A corrupt, venal, callous and feckless administration in cahoots with the nation's most formidable adversary. Drunken sycophants on the Supreme Court. Children torn from their parents' arms for seeking help from your country. The US hemorrhaging influence, prestige and power. Gangs of racist, xenophobic misogynists in red hats roaming the streets of the nation's capital. All this is on you. All this and more.

Choose more wisely next time.

Incorrect. If we move Stein and Johnson's votes to their likely second preferences, Trump would've won several more states and the popular vote. Those who voted for Johnson and McMullin should've came out stronger if you wanted to see Trump gone.

Her voting record is incredibly conservative. She's pro-assad, pro-dictator, and was considered for Trump's cabinet. She's also a bigot. The only reason she's a dem is because a republican can't get elected dogcatcher in HI.

Policies being nutjobby or zany is purely subjective, no? One mans ideal policy is another mans lunacy.

It's simple really, Kamala Harris at her core is openly hostile towards me and will use executive power to pursue things that harm me and thus I dislike her strongly as a result.

No. That is on Hillary for being a shity candate.

But that is in the past. 2020 is an easy win for the dems. You just need to stick together and avoid blameing it on people who voted 3rd party.

Also, nominate someone more sain then Trump.

As of rn, all the candidates are more sain so good job so far.
