Anyone that votes for an admitted white supremacist is probably a tad racist.

Closed list PR for the win!! STV for the senate

get a referendum on the ballot to implement that. Its how Maine got RCV for their elections. The primary used it but not the general for some reason last year.

He wanted all public transit to lose state funding which would mean the MTA would have to pass costs under riders, the already exorbitant fares would go sky high and the agency would quickly go bankrupt as no one but the wealthy could afford it.

Yes I think you would be

You do realize that no state funding doesn’t mean no government funding right? MARTA doesn’t have state funding yet it only costs $2.50 to ride

That seems like a self-answering question for anyone who isn't a white supremacist.

MARTA and the MTA are two very different agencies. The reason fares arent completely unaffordable is state funding

Not possible. Georgia doesn't have ballot initiatives, only the legislature can send amendments or bills to the voters, and the legislature won't voluntarily give up any kind of control, no matter what party's in charge.

Then you elect people who support it. Its how we finally updated New York's Byzantine election law. We elected a state senate that supported reform and Cuomo signed the bill

Curiously, people often vote for particular candidates based upon other positions despite positions they dislike. I mean, as a legislator I don't imagine this fellow as simply abstained from voting on any bill not of a racist nature.

That's my favorite thing about the whole viability discussion. The 2016 election literally came down to two completely unviable candidates who managed to get in the good graces of the major parties.
