How long do you want the wall to be built? Because eminent domain can be fought in court and 90% of the landowners have said they will fight it for however long it takes.

I don't want the wall. I want a border fence, electrified, reinforced by the US military. But at the same time, I don't want a citizen initiative to fail over technicalities.

But what I’m saying is that the only walls that have worked well at keeping people out have military like patrols, more than one wall, an area in between said walls for guard posts, and roads. Basically you’d need to design a wall that would effectively make it hard to get in and out.

Entering at a port of entry is legal.

And the wall will have gates at said ports of entry.

No need for a wall. As I've said, sensors, drones, and the fence already there, plus an increase in border patrol agents will solve the problem. We also need more people to process asylum cases.

The Bush border fence failed because of landowners fighting eminent domain in court driving up the costs for the fence and in some cases winning.

Ya I know for a fact that people will still be able to fly because I saw the private security group which is contracted to patrol my airport take the role of the TSA and search all baggage by hand. I believe the TSA even loaned them some of their infastructure (metal detectors). Plus the city I worked at had it's own TSA equivalent, but I am unaware as to what role they played during that shutdown.

I am unconcerned, but lines will be long so expect delays.

ATC isn’t TSA dude. Without ATC (Air Traffic Control) you cannot fly anything higher than 400ft. ATC are all federal employees so if you think people don’t need the feds you’re wrong. Enjoy driving

So from what I've researched, under the new H.R.302 - FAA Reauthorization Act, ATC personnel along with TSA will be required to work without pay unless they quit.
That being said, I am currently unable find the actual section which asserts this as being the case.
