Trump declaring an emergency for his wall is the political equivalent of calling 911 cause McDonald's wouldn't take your expired coupon.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

I think you’re overreacting quite a bit here, while stupid as fuck, a national emergency isn’t going to crown Trump the Autocratic Supreme God Emperor of America and Beyond. The only thing he’ll be able to do in this case is siphon money from wherever he’ll siphon money from to pay for ego wall.

And piss off the military or FEMA in the process. As those are the only two sources the funds can legally come from

It's a pretty huge reach as far as his executive power goes. If he gets away with it, he will have greatly increased the influence of his own position (a la Chancellor Palpatine, if you get Star Wars references), severely weakening the characteristics that allow us to define the USA as a republic.

CNN does show up... sorta... but only stuff that's over 48 hours old. Occassionally it puts stuff from 2017 as "most recent events".
This might change your world...check this out. That little bar above the webpage in your browser...probably starts with https:// and then a bunch of stuff? You can just type in 'cnn.com' or 'foxnews.com' or nytimes.com...and then you'll just go straight to the page. So like when a national news story like this happens, pretty much all of them will be covering. I know! It's crazy, right? Change your fucking world.

That is basically it, yeah.
Calling a state of national emergency over such a trivial aspect of border security is pathetic and sets a poor example for the future.

He didn't run on improving border security. He ran on building an amazing wall to keep out the bad hombres. Pathetic and poor examples are his MO. Anyone who supports/ed him either knew this or was stupid.

The emergency is based on the Democrats in Congress shameful support of illegal immigration and calling it legal immigration.
