You know, it's strange the democrats in congress or in the senate never said they wanted open borders. In fact there negotiations where for increased funding for border security, just not an overpriced useless wall.

lol, the Democrats don't have to specifically say they want open borders, they support loose asylum laws, remember the opposition to Trump trying to strengthen asylum laws, it amounts to the same thing, making it easier for those who don't qualify for any kind of asylum to qualify for asylum. I don't say it the nice way, but the end result is the same. The border security talk with no barriers is just talk and do nothing, lol.

Their is a fence in Hungary, their are fences and other barriers on many nations border entry check points to keep illegal persons out including Mexico. When I went to visit Niagara Falls in Canada with family and friends, two of our friends did not have the necessary legal papers to enter Canada and had too stay on the US side of the border.

The Democrats want the US to accept asylum seekers at all. The Trump administration would rather remove that option entirely.

So Trump basically caved to something he could have caved to weeks ago. Also it seemed like ATC members were just starting to begin to protest themselves.

Don't they get it roughly as soon as the bill is signed by the president (plus a few days for payroll processing)?

Congress already approved the back pay once the government reopened.

Also, that says nothing on why a wall should be built. Most illegal immigration comes in expired visas. So a wall would do nothing for illegal immigration.

Again if asylum laws are made easier and those persons who don't qualify for any kind of asylum now qualify for asylum, that is favoring illegal immigration and calling it legal immigration, a nice excuse, that is what the Democrats want, if not they should not have opposed President Trump's attempt to make the asylum laws harder.

Most Honduran Caravan asylum seekers don't qualify for any kind of asylum, and yet we let them in and put them through the process, and have to hold them in detention centers, than it is harder to deport them when their asylum claim is denied, this has to change, this has to end, and President Trump has tried to do so, and Italy's Salvini has done or tried to so something similar, this happens in many parts of the world.

The Fence in Hungary stops illegal immigration through the fence in Hungary, their are other similar barriers in many nations. If I were to accept a temporary visa of any kind of any nation, I know I have to return when the visa expires, if I overstay my visa I become an illegal person subject to deportation, I have intentionally broken the visa law, I should not have the right to a visa hearing because I intentionally overstayed my visa and became an illegal person and I broke the visa law, I should be detained, arrested and held for deportation.

My family and I applied for legal immigration to the USA, met the requirements and waited our turn in that hell hole eternal dictatorship revolution nation of Cuba for many years, we had to take and pass a medical exam and pay for it, actually my legal immigrant family in the US paid for the medical exams, requested our immigration visas and sponsored us for one year at their own expense, then I did the same for other family members in Cuba, who applied, met the requirements and waited their turn in that hell hole nation of Cuba for many years.

I will stop you right there. The democrats said nothing about making asylum laws easier, they wanted to use what was the current asylum laws. And once again if asylum laws are made easier then that still does not mean favoring illegal immigration since once again once a person gets asylum they are legal immigrants. If you cross the border illegally you can still apply for asylum and cannot be deported while your case is pending. The system does in fact encourage illegal immigration.

Then rather then do what Trump did make it a law that one has to turn themselves in immediately when they cross into the US to seek asylum or they have to be within the US legally to do so.

According to my father, a big Trump fan, Trump is the hero. And he’s going to “expose” Pelosi for hating America. Just so y’all know he was going on about how all government workers are democrats and they didn’t matter a few weeks ago. Also he thinks the democrats are going to lose in 2020 because Trump played them or something. Idk. The conversation turned into him claiming that communists and socialists run the democrats and that if it wasn’t for the second amendment the nation would be run by communists and the kids in DC would be dead or something. Idk I zoned out.
