Offering only 3 years of DACA protections (read: ends 1 year after the next election) is essentially an admission that he's pegged his re-election chances to the wall, and that he plans on going after DACA or using it as a bargaining chip again asap if he wins.

Like I said, its not just Democrats it seems. Trumpist Republicans have baulked at that "offer", and its unlikely for there evem to be enough Republicans to get even a simple majority.
