Which, yeah, they have valid complaints against it.

The evidence is against the Second Amendment, and I say that as a pro-gun advocate who owns guns himself.

There has also been talk about capping the max voting age to 55.

There has been no serious talk of capping the max voting age to 55. At most, I can find this petition, which has 17 supporters.
https://www.change.org/p/impose-a-manda ... -age-of-55

And it's blatantly unconstitutional.

"The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age."

Isn't the SCOTUS there to interpret the constitution and if the constitution clearly states that people that are 18 or older, have the right to vote, what is there to interpret to make 55 year old & older people voting illegal?

Sounds like a really good topic for a different thread.

That clause seems pretty straightforward, even people with the most loose interpretations of the Constitution would struggle finding a voting age cap constitutional. Well, except those that exist in Telconi's mind.

I don't think it would necessitate a new thread, although I believe you said that more so to prevent a threadjack. Apologies.

Anyway, how long do you guys think the shutdown will go into? I think it's pretty clear it's gonna pass the record, but do you think it'll go into January?

Indefinitely. Trump and friends worked really hard on dismantling the enemy state to the point of indefinite government shutdown. They'll keep it that way until they can devise their next plan on how to further destabilize the american society.

McConnell could find a solution because he's cunning enough and has trumps ear but he's staying out of it. Pelosi has no reason to budge unless she gets something in return. Trump can't climb down without some of his flock realising he's an idiot. I imagine it either results in him trying to claim emergency powers if polling takes a serious turn or Fox news pressures him to or he gets half the money for the border in return for citizenship for the dreamers (I.e. a worse deal than one of the deals he's rejected in the past) which he'll claim as a win because he's an idiot and is supported by idiots who will likely believe him.

In Guam it is 8:06 Sunday, January 13th. That means:

Day 23! Give it up for day 23!

I'll unironically attempt to perform a Fortnite dance if it hits day 69, because by then, it'll have transcended to meme status.

I think he's mistaking your tendancy to put things in several (usually three) quote markes with the echo tags which is an antisemetic dog whistle and against site rules.

Yeah, Iunno what an echo tag is. But apparently I'm being accused of anti-semitism?

lol, too my many critics who I am sure enjoyed their posts, at least I call both Republicans and Democrats, non political saints equally, both sides not just the Republicans, not just the Democrats, both sides, fair and balanced post.

Under the circumstances of the Democrats intransigence on the legal and illegal immigration issue which is a serious issue in the USA and all over the world, I say use the political tactic, declare the emergency and build The Great Wall of Trump, it does not make the USA a dictatorship, it does not make President Trump a dictator and it is not impeachable, but the Democrats might try, making those predictions we have been reading about in the media come true.

I support a real zero tolerance illegal immigration policy and asylum granted only if it is the governments in question doing the abuse, and legal immigration with all their rights respected, not open borders immigration and asylum under any circumstances as most of my critics probably do.

If a Democrat President were to use a political tactic such as this one or any other political tactic on an issue I don't support, I would not like it either, but it doesn't make the USA a dictatorship and it doesn't make the Democrat President a dictator and it would not be impeachable, fair and balanced post.

The Great Wall of Trump could be a major tourist attraction like The Great Wall of China, visited by millions of tourists per year to help pay for the wall, with Mc Donald's, Burger Kings, Pizza Huts and Taco Bells, I would visit The Great Wall of Trump and spend my US money, and on a clear day we can see Mexico from on top The Great Wall of Trump, lol.
