Mass Deportation of all Illegal Aliens in the United States, including Dreamers.

Implementation of quotas on immigrants coming from the 3rd world.

Implementation of Merit based immigration from the 3rd world.

Health restrictions on immigrants.

English as a national language.

More border security, including a wall, paid for by the money we saved by kicking all the illegals out.

I really want to hear how establishing a national language will improve border security.

Part of the border between the US and Mexico is the Rio Grande river, as defined by treaty. Obviously enough you can't build a fence or a wall on the bank of a river, it'd fall over.

There are ways around that if absolutely necessary. By itself a river isn't an insurmountable problem, though any solution would likely prove to be expensive. Also, I'm not sure what wall builders plan on doing with the Falcon Reservoir.

But let's say, for the sake of discussion, that the solution to the Rio Grande consists of building the wall a bit back from the river, which has the advantage of shortening the route by lessening the impact of meanders as well as resolving some of the river shore engineering issues. On the face of it, this seems sensible. But I would have thought an even more serious problem is that much of the immediate hinterland of the Rio Grande, especially in southern Texas, is prime agricultural land; any attempt to build a wall through these stretches would require precisely the sort of exercise of eminent domain that many members of the president's natural voting constituency would presumably find deeply problematic.

It's almost as if nobody knew that building a wall could be so complicated.

Walls and healthcare have more in common than anyone could have predicted.
