You mean like the one that guarantees the right to vote to all citizens that the Republicans are desperate to find any way around they can?

How are they trying to find ways around it?
Liberals have stated how much they dislike the second amendment pretty clearly, now they don't seem too fond of the first either.

It's the doublethink that gets me. There's always the simultaneous claims that:

1. Democrats had total control of the government for a significant chunk of Obama's time in office; and
2. Democrats all want to destroy the second amendment.

And yet, despite both of these supposed truths, that didn't happen.

Luckily, since it is an amendment, it would take state legislatures to agree to repeal it. There are enough states with sensible governments not to want to do that.

Gun sales went up during Obama's presidency. Democrats never did anything to change the 2nd amendment, it's all propaganda from the opposition. America will have it's mass shootings, high crime rates and doomsday preppers wasting money on weapons and ammo regardless of what party is in charge. It's all theirs to enjoy.

Not being qualified imho is in itself a qualification. If the world bank collapses under mismanagement it will be the end of one of the worlds largest financial institutions, which could create turmoil.

The point being that with control of the house, a super majority in the Senate, a more favorable Supreme Court than at most any time in Modern history, amd a President, the Democrats never made any meaningful moves to control guns. Its almost as of the Gun Rights doomsayers were fabricating complete nonsense about the intentions of the Democrats about gun control.

A favourable supreme court? Even after Obama had made all his picks, you stil had Roberts, Kenneddy, Alito, Thomas and Scalia.

There is no such federal ruling.

There are constitutional amendments prohibiting withdrawal of the right to vote based on race, based on gender, based on age and based on taxation. What other characteristics are left before it is "all citizens" then?

Crimminal record (Felons can't vote), political affiliation, drug-use, and mental health assessments (crimminally insane), for starters.

There has also been talk about capping the max voting age to 55.

There has been no serious talk of capping the max voting age to 55. At most, I can find this petition, which has 17 supporters.
