Is it? You could just as easily point to the people who didn't put the wall funding in the budget. They knew Trump had the ability to veto the bill. Giving him deliberate reason to and expecting him not to makes this just as much their 'fault' as much as it is his.

The majority of people do not support the wall, so why should they put in the budget for a wall when it's really just an election rally cry of his, give him this and then what.. he'll start blathering on about locking up Hillary Clinton again and shut down the government if that's not done..

FACT – the reason why Americans have to worry about a government shutdown is because Obama refuses to pass a budget.
