I also recommend reading Rand Paul's Twitter thread from when he shut down the government for a few hours, and the tweet where he cites border help for other countries, President Trump should jump all over that.

I'm starting to really like Rand Paul:

On page 207. 2000+ pages to go... Remember the $350,000 NSF spent asking if japanese quail are more sexually promiscuous on cocaine... Reading this monstrous bill full of grant programs begun decades ago reminds me of Reagan’s critique: the nearest thing to immortality is a government program... I found a kernel of hope: “no funds in this act will be used to support or justify torture."

Page 240 good news for states rights: no funds will be spent to prevent any state’s medical marijuana initiatives. Thank you Congr. Rohrabacher... $1m for the Cultural Antiquities Task Force... $6.25m for the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation... $12m for Countering State Disinformation and Pressure... Sec. 8116 no funds can be used in Iraq in contravention of the War Powers Act... sounds good but . . . haven’t we been back in Iraq at war against new foes without any new congressional authorization?

I found it! I found it! Border security, what President Trump wanted! no . . .wait a minute section says Defense can spend what funds it determines to enhance the border security of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia

When did funding something that a majority of voters say they do not want and think is unnecessary become a priority?

Every Government Level, Federal, State, County, City, has an item where contracts below X amount of dollars don't get scrutinized, and are simply approved. I'm not sure what the Fed Limit is, I think it's a mil, so if you keep your contract below $950k, and you donated the max to a lot of Congressmen and/or Senators who were successfully reelected, (in both parties,) you can shepherd a lot of these through.

That's why they get cocaine - to fuck eternally, until they're so stoned, that they turn into stone, which can be used for the border wall, one that's built in Egypt or Lebanon.

Can't we just tack a few claymore mines on the fences?

I think that the Courts said that's inhumane. Still don't understand why we cannot just run power through it, and use solar power, it'll be environmentally friendly, and keep illegal immigrants from polluting the environment, aren't the Democrats pro-environment? :P

I mean, a wall that takes years to get built, and is mostly ineffective doesn't make sense. It'd have to be indestructible. That's too expensive. Plus the majority of these immigrants overstay their visas once they fly over.

I'm not a supporter of the wall - I think it's dumb. I'd rather just heavily penalize the businesses who hire illegal immigrants and pay them below market wages, but that's too common sense an approach for the Government.

Considering the grand majority of illegal immigrants enter the nation legally then overstay their visas or legal stay, probably not.

If they know he's going to veto the bill, there's no point in submitting it so he can "officially" veto it. Grand waste of time.
