To reiterate my point, I'm sure that they are just going to whale the necessary amounts, without this going into a shark-fin fiasco. So, while I feel bad for the whales, it is also good that the people who rely on these creatures will be able to eat plenty once again.

I mean, Japan has always seemed to be a bit obsessed about killing whales. I think Japan needs to chill on the whales though, there are quite literally other fish (or in this case, mammals) in the sea.

I’m sorry people don’t matter to you as much as whales but some rural communities don’t have the same luxuries as you do. They have to hunt animals in order to have enough to eat.

I have doubts that they’re doing this specifically for those particular rural communities.

So you're fine with me wanting to eat a rhino or anything else marked as endangered. That kind of undermines your argument.

Oh they’re likely doing it for the money. But these rural communities will benefit from that decision regardless of the motive.

You’d rather people starve to death than kill whales?

Yes because he hates his own kind because we're evil and shit. It's basic "muh feels" and "muh endangered species" are more important than starving people in other parts of the world.

Quit the hyperbole. Some regulation is needed to make sure the food source doesn’t run out. But yeah, that’s for the benefit of humans.
