If your version of Hijab includes a full face covering it is already banned in Denmark.
Different Muslims have different hijab.

Niqab is a valid form of hijab. The basic form is something that covers your head and chest.

I mean, it doesn't really matter *why* it's haram, the point is Danes see handshakes as a necessary part of being a citizen of Denmark, some Muslims see it as a sinful act. At that point. it's up to those Muslims to either accept that it's a part of naturalizing, and do it, or decide it's worth not naturalizing over.

Manly Vikings and Danes wear beards, and beards aren't commanded by any religion except Sikhism. To my knowledge, Islam does not demand facial hair out of male followers.

Sikhism and Judaism are literally the only religions whose dress code (for all believers) is explicitly defined, in detail, in their Scriptures. Even then, the Jewish mandates are far more lax (put four tassles on your robe or top/shirt, don't wear mixed fibers, and don't shave the sides of your head are the three I remember) and don't require special accomodation.

While Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all mandate modest dress for men and women, the latter two don't go into detail as to how it is done. The Qu'ran, to my knowledge, doesn't define modest dress as specifically as observing hijab prescribes. Observing hijab seems to be a cultural practice from my outside view; Islam sounds like it demands "cover your breasts", not "cover your head", IMO.

Where, specifically, in the Qu'ran or Hadiths is observing hijab (for women) or wearing long pants that extend to your ankles (for men) located?

In Christianity," modesty" interpreted is not showing cleavage, no gluteal folds, no midriff (etc. etc.), not "cover your body from head to toe".

Islam and Christianity both demand modest dress, and neither, to my knowledge, go into too manyspecifics.

In Christianity," modesty" is interpreted as not showing cleavage, no gluteal folds, no midriff (etc. etc.), not "cover your body from head to toe". (Two-piece swimsuits are exempt in some Christians' opinion if they completely secure and hold the breasts.)
These days, if you are a Christian woman wearing a modest outfit, you are covered from the top of your breasts all the way down to your lower thighs or knees. Cleavage, midriff, backside, and gluteal fold exposure is considered immodest.

For Christians, the only time head coverings come into play is in 1 Corinthians 11:2-16. It applies only to worship.

In worship, women must have something on their head. Hair counts, "because of the angels". If a woman is bald, they need to wear a hat, headband, or something to provide covering for their head, because a woman who is bald is shamed before God. Likewise, men must have nothing but their hair on their head in worship or prayer. This is why the Bible mandates Christian men remove their hat in prayer or worship. Christian women cannot go bald.

Now, I don't know the exact requirements of Islam, but "dress like a seventh century Arab", to my knowledge, is not in the Qu'ran and is probably not in the Hadith canon, either. Observing hijab sounds like culture, not religion. Modesty in Islam, from my outside view, sounds very similar to Christianity: no midriff, no cleavage, no backside, no gluteal folds, no sexual attire.

That is not to mention that most Muslims observing hijab don't even do it right: proper hijab observance has to completely obscure the torso, so that you can't determine the cup size of a woman. Tight-fitting pants are a no-no.

Actually, in Christianity, modesty rules vary significantly based on the particular sect or interpretation. Islam is likely the same way.

As the Muslim gentleman above me commented: "it's not what you deem modest, it's what your religion deems modest".

1 Corinthians 11 is universal and isn't something you can dismiss if you practice Christianity.

As for modesty, I was mostly stating the bare minimum requirements: particularly, the ones my sister follows. She doesn't see a problem with short shorts as long as they completely cover the backside.

How I define modesty for men and women is the exact standard I apply to myself: pants to the knees, no midriff, no cleavage (thankfully I don't have to deal with that), no backside, no glutial folds, no sexual attire.
