I know that quite a few people will disagree with me, but as someone who's not born in Denmark, an immigrant must respect Danish laws and embrace Danish culture. That said, it's a give and take relationship. I'd also expect Danes to respect new immigrants and to treat them as one would expect to be treated (as a Danish person). Multiculturalism is lovely! Of course, this is not the reality (i.e. immigrants respecting local laws and traditions and locals respecting immigrants' cultures). Oh well one can always dream and hope for a better future on an internet website!
