And I'm wondering what historical facts you are basing this assumption on.

I don't know if you were here when we discussed them, but we talked about the colonization of Polish land by Germans during the medieval Ostsiedlung and how that lead to Pomerania, Pomerelia, Prussia, and Silesia becoming ethnic German and later getting annexed by German states. We also discussed the Anglo-Saxons in Texas and how their presence lead to the territory becoming independent of Mexico and later part of the United States. These events show how large enclaves of foreign ethnicities inside of a country can lead to those lands separating from that country.

To add to this, I'd like to highlight the reason why the Chinese government, to prevent dissent in Tibet, would send ethnic Chinese settlers.

The Texas example was from the 19th century, and the Tibet example is from modern times.

It is very much real and still existing.

It almost happened in Constantine and Algier until the Algerian went on an ethnic cleansing spree.
Same goes with most of Eastern Anatolia that was firmly Armenian until the Turks decided that genocide was the best course of action to the existence of Christian people.

Don't play this game with me. Nothing about the future is absolutely certain. The likelihood of foreign enclaves creating problems is just very high.

Another issue. That was more colonization than immigration. In all except the Texas example, a stronger power settled it's people to push out others.
