Self definition of ideological affinity, in NS forum

Postby Phoenicaea » Fri Dec 21, 2018 9:02 am

In a hypothethical union of towns, named as a country, quite large, with diverse sources of wealth, modest income, where you may elect parliament, and things flawed.

this source is wikipedia english. the choices are 'classical'

Reactionnary
In political science, a reactionary is a person who holds political views that favor a return to the status quo ante, the previous political state of society.

Conservative
Conservatism is a political and social philosophy, it favors traditional, social institutions, in the context of culture and civilization.

Liberalism
Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy, based on liberty and equality. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles.

Anarcho-Liberal
Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy and school of anarchist thought that advocates the abolition of centralized state dictum in favor of self-ownership.

Socialism
Socialism is a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership and workers' self-management, as well as the political theories associated with them

Communism
It is the establishment of the communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the common ownership of the means of production and the absence..of the state.

Fascism
Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society

Islamism
The term can refer to diverse forms of social, political activism advocating that public and political life should be guided by Islamic principles, call for full implementation of sharia.

*this because I ve noticed there is not a pool of this, at the moment, in NS. choices actually comes from 'victoria II', if you know it.

I ve supposed it would be appropriate in a political forum of debate-amenities. The list is at date's appereance, from the older to the emergent.

Probably somewhere between social democrat and vaguely left of center liberal. As I've grown older, I've sort of grown to like the rigidity of ideological labels less and less (but that's not to say I'm devoid of ideology, not at all.)

I agree, there are far too few options here and you should be to select more than one.
I also do not subscribe to one single ideology, but try to combine the best aspects of several.

Tenet, it is "tenet",

I usually end up somewhere near an anarcho syndicalist, but I would hate being lumped in with the antifa,

My wife said she was in the "radical middle", more interested in practical cooperative action than in slogans or ideology; that still sounds good to me.

What is with all the people who voted Fascist? It looks like Fascism is more popular than conservatism for some reason. Of course, I suppose the same phenomenon in the real world could explain why crypto-fascists like Trump are eclipsing establishment conservatism in popularity. But seriously, what is wrong with people these days?

Most likely because believe it or not, Fascism isn't Nazism (although many self-declared fascists often seem to conveniently forget that).

It does have some decent aspects, but I'd be more content surgically removing them out of fascism to add to my own ideology instead of full-on adopt fascism.

Pick populist. Oh wait, you can't! So you have to choose something, and you sure don't want the other options (although I myself chose anarcho)

I've always considered myself in the broad strokes a socialist, though less inclined to be grouped into a specific group now that my teenage years are behind me.
