It doesn't matter. It's all goat hunting during a slow news cycle where the dumbest thing Trump has done today is suggest that we use water drop planes made for forest fires on Notre Dame. With nothing on the Trump horizon posters just try to get each others goats until something interesting happens again, so we go over bullshit like "rural areas need more votes" or "let me define democracy as strictly as possible to I can have a diatribe about how x isn't one" or some other political hipster nonsense. Standby, Trump will do something sufficiently stupid soon enough.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

1) If he has not come back from an opinion, even a five year old tweet can be relevant.
2) A five year old tweet is relevant if you are elected for a four year term.
3) Trump making an ass of himself daily is quite the point. We need to remember every time he made an ass of himself, and not just the most recent times.

Nah it’s just controversy baiting. If he says something about it recently yeah go for it, but if not it’s just a lame baiting tactic to rile people up.

So five years is the expiration date, then? Is this a standard we should apply to both parties, or, as I suspect, only to the GOP, when it happens to be convenient

If the current president was a moron five years ago, and might still hold dangerous beliefs, then that is important to know.

I wasn't trying to troll, I was just saying that even with the ongoing outbreak in NYC of measles, a large percent of the US still supports someone that made a public statement that vaccines cause autism.

Nah I think that goes both ways. I’m not gonna pull out quotes from democrats from five years ago unbidden. Look if there was anti-vax issue at present? Yeah it’s worthy of discussion. But these “daily reminder” posts are just meant to stir the pot. It sounds petty and desperate.

Ah Okay. maybe give some context then and not just drop the “daily reminder” bit. That was my point. Just doing stinks of someone just trying to rile up the troops, rather than meaningful discussion. But yeah in the context of a measles outbreak, his tweets are relevant

My point is we weren’t discussing a measles outbreak in here. So just saying “daily reminder” sounds like they’re just trying to rile people up. It was a bad way to broach the subject, all I’m saying
