In alternate world, Donald Trump is the Chairman of the Board of the Trump Corporation (NYSE:DON), a consolidated hotel conglomerate formed in 1986 after Donald Trump's corporate raid of the Holiday Corporation (then the parent company of Holiday Inn).

After acquiring Holiday, Donald Trump set his sights on Hilton. To raise capital for the acquisition, the Trump Organization went public in 1989, and Mr. Trump relinquished his controlling stake of the company (though to this day he still owns 49% of shares). While Mr. Trump remained chairman, Lee Iacocca took over as CEO and launched the Trump Corporation's international expansion. The completed acquisition of Hilton made Trump the largest hotel conglomerate in the world at the time. Iacocca successfully led the company through its restructuring in 1994, divesting it of the unprofitable casino and gaming businesses.

The favorable business climate generated by the election of Dan Quayle in 1992 bolstered American consumer confidence, and the opening of former communist countries led to global tourism boom, on which the Trump Corporation was able to capitalize.

The Trump Corporation gained international appeal when Mr. Trump himself intervened top have Trump Tower Yugoslovia (located in Belgrade) resist fend off nationalization by the Serbian forces and open itself up as a field hospital to genocide refugees. For her efforts, Trump Corporation Europe President, Melania Knauss, won the Noble Peace Prize in 1998.

Whether he's officially president he will believe he's president by right regardless of what happens, because the only way he'll lose an election if it was stolen from him.

Essentially, he will remain a major pain in the ass for years to come.

It doesn't matter what he thinks. The electoral college will vote and if he didn't get the most electors he will not be elected. The moment the clock strikes noon on January 20th 2021 the military and Secret Service will no longer take orders from him and he will be forcibly removed from the building for trespassing which can be added to his list of crimes

If he does not get the most electors next November then no. A majority of votes will go to whomever the Democratic nominee is.

I really hope Merrick Garland has an extensive record of either showing disdain for Trump or of Trump and the Repubs shitting all over Garland.

If so, we're in the black, and Trump has nobody but himself to blame.

If not, Garland might pull an insecurity and not go for the kill because it might affect his image, even though him shitting in Trump's open mouth can only make him look good.

Even if Garland hadn't bottled up resentment over the McConnell Screwjob there's no way he'd believe Donny has the right to block the legal release of his tax returns.

He'd have to be president at the age of 92 and I doubt he can survive that long being so close to morbidly obese. More likely on the day he dies (perhaps inside a prison in NY State) he's not 92 or even 90.
On the other hand, they do say the good die young.

In what way? Trump, personally, had nothing to do with Garland being snubbed. If this were McConnell, then I can see an issue, but I don't think he has a vendetta against the whole GOP.

It would give us an idea of whether we should be getting excited.

Granted, even if Trump citing bias would be an incredibly dick move, he is also isn't beyond that, so, fair enough.

Garland is just the chief of the court, it’s unlikely that he’ll even hear the case as three judges are selected at random and there’s definitely more than four judges on the court
