What's the penalty for noncompliance with a federal court? Like, who do the arrest or fine or whatever?

Jail time/fine. They’d probably fine the firm that has Trump’s finances every day or so

Defying a judicial order means jail time or financial penalties

Trump doesn’t hold the finances. Did you not even read my post? The firm that holds and manages his financials aren’t going to risk several million dollars worth of fines for Trump

John Marshall has made his decision. Now let him enforce it.

Except Trump doesn’t hold the financials. A firm does. That firm isn’t going to risk the millions of dollars of fines. They’ll comply just like every other firm has

Yeah, I get the feeling that's not gonna be too hard.

Who would have jurisdiction over this, the FBI?

I seriously doubt they're gonna have any problems arresting people and throwing them in jail while they collect what they need.

Unless, you know, they destroy evidence.

I’m sure he will appeal to the Supreme Court and I’m not confident they will uphold this ruling

Hopefully the firm gets raided or they turn the stuff over before that time.

If so, then this entire thing with Trump becomes far worse than Watergate/Nixon. Why go there if you're Trump? It would only show he must be guilty as sin. Two words for it. Stupid, evil.

Because Republicans wont cross Trump and if anyone goes against him they are his enemy

Therefore, these republicans are not truly upholding the wishes of our Founding Fathers. So... whatever happened to all those Tea Party people, hmm? I suppose all pf that was an act orchestrated by FOX News and pals too.

Either way you cut it, the rock or the hard place is gonna give very soon.

Political earthquake warnings have been issued in your area. Imminent.

Seek shelter under the nearest copy of the US Constitution.

I doubt this Supreme Court cares. Republicans in Congress certainly don't. No matter what his tax returns or financial records show they will look the other way as they are more afraid of primary challenges then do the right thing

Not going to happen unless a judge orders it

I wouldn't put it past him to threaten them or try to intervene. he clearly has something to hide.

He's a billionaire businessman with ties to construction in New York. Of course he has things to hide.

The only question is whether it's the low level ties with the mafia that all construction tycoons have or something bigger.
