You can keep sticking your fingers in your ears and going "lalala the US will never collapse!", but you cannot deny that the US has become polarized and broken, and the entirety of the damn structure will come crashing down like a Jenga tower when one loose screw decides he has nothing to lose by going completely rogue.

The system will inevitably collapse into flames unless a dire set of reforms are brought to the table, and this wouldn't be a set of reforms that "just deh Democrats" or "just deh Republicans" can implement by themselves, it has to be a bipartisan effort.

It's just my assumption, I'm reading on it. But I'm assuming since JFK is owned by the Port Authority of NY and NJ which seems to be exclusively state funded.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates JFK, is a self-supporting corporate agency. That sounds to me non-federal. With that, they're getting paid.

Air Traffic Controllers being one of the most actively unionized jobtitles, I would expect a strike if they really weren't getting paid. This hasn't seemed to happen.
