Your call, not mine. He may be a dick of a dick, but he's still president.

Yes but it doesn't mean I have to refer to him as such.

They were already cool with it when Cheney did it, so yeah. They totally would.

Yes but if multiple agents were outed and got killed as a result of his recklessness with classified intel a different tune might be sung but the fact that I cannot say for certain is honestly frightening

Trump will probably shrug it off the same way he shrugged off Khashoggi's dismemberment, or the same way the Tongo Tongo attack that led to the loss of 4 US soldiers were essentially handled by Washington. That, and Trump adores Putin, so who knows?

Anyway, it seems Trump's directed the US intelligence community to cooperate with Barr over his investigation into Obama-era "spying" on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign, and indeed has given Barr the authority to declassify any and all info pertaining to it.

Democrats don't like it, apparently, and Barr's proven partisanship and ability to distort the facts to suit his master's (their is no more apt description) narrative does give me pause -- but apart from that, qhy be so apprehensive about such a probe?

Largely because that was apparently all the redacted snuff on the Mueller report.

Since they were also investigating how the leaked Clinton E-mails gently pivoted the election.

Oh, and spying on the other candidate is kinda illegal.

I don't get it. Barr will declassify the Mueller report?

Also, while I realize FISA is of doubtful constitutionality even with repeated amendments, the fact remains that it is legal, and there was cause enough for the court to allow spying on the Trump campaign for its links to dubious Russians known for their proximity to Putin.

Comprising national security deliberately might be a bridge to far for enough Republicans that they call for him to step down but i wish i could say that certain

I welcome him attacking that court. Its proceedings are secret by law if I recall correctly. to reveal it would damage national security and likely be a crime but Republicans will probably look the other way.

Once upon a time a politicians ambitions were buried when he misspelled 'potato.' But thanks the the bar lowering power of Trump making fun of the fact that the 'leader of the free world' writes slam books with fifth grade grammar and spelling on a forum in the butt end of the internet is a 'bridge too far.'

It's like a fucking superpower.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.
