The Trump administration sought to rush the transfer of American nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia in potential violation of the law, a new report from the House Oversight and Reform Committee alleges.

Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings' staff issued an "interim staff" report Tuesday, citing "multiple whistleblowers" who raised ethical and legal concerns about the process.

"They have warned about political appointees ignoring directives from top ethics advisers at the White House who repeatedly and unsuccessfully ordered senior Trump administration officials to halt their efforts," the report states. "They have also warned of conflicts of interest among top White House advisers that could implicate federal criminal statutes."

No, I'm not denying that, but the idea of a CEO is undemocratic is the point I was going for there. But even then, you're right in saying it's more of a scale than anything.

I think I read too far into and went off on a mini tangent. So, should the CEO be selected by the workers per say rather than by shareholders? Or in the world of politics: Trump should rely on the peoples' money and not the few ultra rich.

The CEO should, yes, be selected by the workers in an ideal world. Barring that, election by shareholders is preferable than just being handed that power because your dad happened to also own the company. But regardless of how power was gained, for a good society and healthy economy, no leader should be dictatorial as modern CEOs are.

In the world of politics, Trump should listen to advisers and experts more, and stop acting as if he has all the answers because he doesn't and that attitude is clearly negatively effected his administration. My argument is that Trump is the typical case for most CEOs in the United States in terms of personality and how they choose to wield power, so we shouldn't be surprised that when he runs the nation like a CEO he runs it like a silly dictator.

Hmm, there is that stereotype that CEOs tend to be the de facto leader, a King per se, that has the final say; the argument can be made there. But most CEOs at least take some time to listen to others before implementing decisions: it's why they have CFOs, managers, and others to relay said information to make form decisions. Or will they chew your heads off if you dare question them, at least for the most part.

In Trump's case, he takes it to the extreme. He was handed the position from his father and combined with his narcissistic and mob-like views, develops into a more dictator like figure. I do find that if anyone ran for President and had a CEO background, I wouldn't be opposed as long as they had a good track record of running a business and their views aren't atrocious. But having government experience does help, and Trump's ineptness clearly shows.
