I said "assimilate", not "integrate". There's a difference. And immigration =/= colonization.

But its very alienating, it means living in a society where everytime a woman extends her hand to be shaken you have to give her an extended lecture on why you can't do that. I don't know about you but if I were the woman in that situation I'd feel fairly offended/insulted myself, and I can't imagine I'm alone here. A community with such a rule is probably gonna have trouble integrating properly into the rest of a society that has become very gender-egalitarian at least in thinking and culture.
