I mean, if the entire United States were a warzone, I wouldn't settle for fleeing from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, one warzone to another, I'd want to flee to England or France or somewhere far from it all.

Oh really? Are you sure, as an homossexual, that you'd not rather flee to a much more heart-warming country like Pakistan?

How did you get that from what I just said?

My belief is that if you believe in your religion and are faithful to it, you'll go to your afterlife. It seems atheists won't enjoy that privilege.

I believe that as long as you’re a legitimately good person, you go to heaven. Jesus was always more heavy on the “don’t be a dick” part then the “worship me” part.

If you only worship to go to heaven, then your God is forcing you to worship him. Have fun in heaven...slave.

Like, all theists are like, slaves to God!!!! Also, God doesn’t exist, so checkmate!!!

What exactly is 'pogrom fetishism'?

The poster who consistently comes on to posts about terrorism in Europe, most often France as it so happens, and when the bodies are not yet cold, starts to rant and rave about the impending pogroms and slaughters Muslims in France and Europe are about to experience, and which they never do.

Which is frankly to our credit, the modern Muslim world has done far more to minorities for far less.

I don't know if this is still the case, but at the height of the war in Syria, Lebanon housed two million (presumably majority Muslim) refugees, far more than any other European country at the time.

It still does. I was on a research mission there this summer, they live in utter squalor.

I think you got that wrong. He chased merchants out of a temple because they were forcing people to pay to pray.

Lebanon, the nation where sharia only applies to Muslims. Because otherwise it would be in a civil war. Again. You left out Jordan, suprisingly.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting it was a generic ruling about whether Prophet Muhammad was a pedophile, but when a poster mentioned a 'ruling' regarding calling the Prophet Muhammad a pedophile I naturally assumed that was the case he was referring to. Now he's said he was referring to a mod ruling not a Strasbourg ruling, so I stand corrected.

It's fine. But I had flashbacks to the thread about this, where I and some other poster(s) had to play wack-a-mole with posters who read an incredibly biased title and OP that claimed that the ECHR had made a Europe-wide blasphemy law applicable only to Islam; and I was not gonna have that issue pop up again.

Ok, I have carved out the last ten pages of this. Everyone involved in this thread was tap dancing right on the line in multiple ways. We had discussion of pedophilia, close to outright avocation, which you guys should damn well know by now is not allowed here. We had flaming that went RIGHT to the line. We had trollnaming. etc.

Pretty much I believe I would be justified in just starting to swing my hammer and see who I hit at this point.

I won't. For all of this, I feel that we stayed JUST inside the line. JUST. Another Mod might feel differently and to be frank, if someone else feels that lines were stepped over, I shall not shed tears to be overturned here.

That said, Modly Commandment: Thou Shall Not Engage in This Topic Again.

There are multiple arguments to be made about Muhammad and about what he did or did not do. THIS particular topic, his marriage to a girl who in today's world would be considered underage, is obviously leading to areas that are not allowed. Drop it. He married her a number of centuries ago, and we'll go with that. The rightness/wrongness/morality of it, etc. should be avoided from here on out due to the inability to stay away from areas of avocation.

That ends this. I will leave this topic locked for a bit to get this point across.

Haha don't worry, I'm actually a law student and that case was on my law reading list, and if I wrote in the exam that ES held that 'it is now illegal to say the Prophet Muhammad is a pedophile' I suspect it'd be an automatic fail lol
