I started around 2005-ish I think. First it was just youtube, and then I moved on to Club Penguin and would play it all the time when my parents weren't using the computer. I convinced my mom to buy me a membership so my igloo was lit af 24/7. Wasn't long before I maxed out my friends list and all the pink penguins were basically lining up for a chance to be my gf like every single day. Of course I usually ignored them because they would take time away from my professional surfing career. All those puffles and entire walls covered in flat-screen TV's didn't pay for themselves, you know.

It was before I started school, those educational game things. I forget what the website was called. As for actual negative comments, that had to wait until I was nine or ten.

2005 when I was 6 I first remembered my brother loving some of the games on Newgrounds like (And I am somewhat but not completely ashamed to admit this) Pico's school, and around the same time I remember YouTube starting to be a thing.

I was doing seminary research on Baptism, Eucharist and Ministry
which was a major interdenominational colloquy intended to resolve some of the actual hostilities between Christians over these practices.
I used the seminary facilities so although they were tedious they were also quite secure.

When was the first time you've started using the internet? First time I went on a computer was when I was 5, first time going online was when I was 6. So between 2003-2005.

What do you usually do at that period with the Internet? Nothing fun. I didn't have a computer at home so when I was online it was at school (With heavily restrictive website blockers) and usually had to do with work or actually being taught how computers work.

Would have been when I was 26, so 2007. 2011 is when I actually used it regularly, when I discovered accessibility and TTS programs. Cause the internet isn’t much use when you can’t read.

You could give more information about yourself and your history with the internet more if you want to.

2005 iirc

My comprehension of English was still limited at that time, so I was mostly browsing random greek websites for news, jokes etc.

My first negative comments: I wanted to participate in Bungie's forums, back when they were still for Halo-related discussion. I started a topic about sharing Halo wallpapers because I didn't know how to download wallpapers, as well as another topic for something else. People would negatively comment on my nearly incomprehensible English and laugh with my attempts to make others give me cool images. That experience impacted me negatively and made me realize how important the English language is.

I don't recall the first time I used the internet ever.

I do recall being 12 on the yahoo chat boards and despite advertising my 12 year old status, adults kept trying to cyber with me because a lot of men are pigs.

Somewhere around 2002 probably, though I do not ever remember a single "this is the first time I'm on the internet" moment, instead there is a conflicting series of memories from that time period, any one of which could have been it. I do strongly remember when I was banned from the house computer by my parents when I was in 8 (so 2003-04) because I was playing too many flash games on it and not focussing on my studies. Mousebreaker for the win though.

Never been hacked as far as I am aware- I have long been kinda paranoid online. I remember reading horrible comments in the review sections of flash games though and being quite intrigued as to the meanings of some of those words. The first negative comment directed at me would have to wait around until 2012, when I joined my first social media account (Facebook) and then realised I could link via the account to comment on articles of the Huffington Post (....yes, those were dark days).

One of my early internet memories is of going onto the army recruitment website's live chat feature and just sending all the swear words my 7 year old self could muster.

It was a game specifically for children, the average age on there is around nine or ten. As soon as I was thirteen, I did make accounts everywhere I could, though.

I have been using the internet for so long, I don't remember when I started. I know that the first time I ever used a computer (despite what few uses I could think of at the time for one) was when I was two. At that time, I mostly used it to type the same combinations of letters over and over again. I remember I would type QWERTY sometimes, but for some reason, my favorite thing to type was AMPJ. I still don't know why to this day. Anyway, back when I was first using the internet in the year who knows when, I mostly was playing games on websites or watching YouTube. I have never been hacked since Avast Antivirus has always been there to save me from malware.

I was born in 1998, and the internet has been around me ever since I remember.

My parents being liberal in their parenting never really cared about me using the internet, however, I haven't really used the internet as such until I was like 10. Before that it was just singleplayer games and stuff a few days a week though I still preferred playing outside.

I remember my first game being Age of Empires and some similar game.

Probably when I was a kid, not so memorable. Went to places like Cartoon Network's website.

I started actively using it in like 2007, as a teenager, Newgrounds, eventually NationStates, I used to take those OkCupid quizzes for fun, before they were on helloquizzy and before they seemed to be all deleted without any explanation.

That's not Internet, ya young whippersnapper. I'm not convinced that a PDP 11/70 could even network with another computer, much less a bunch of them. Didn't they mostly 'network' with 1-16 terminals? Also, while you were playing text adventures, I was writing one on an Altair 8800. Unfortunately, my writing partner and I didn't think we could make "Space Pirates" commercially viable and just gave up on it in '77 or '78.

My first networking experience was running a BBS on my ATT 6300, probably in the late 1980s. I think I had one of those newfangled 1200 baud modems that you could plug a phone cable into, which was a big step up from my original acoustic couple system. I only had one line, so the BBS was only up when I didn't need to make or receive any calls.

I do remember reading the position papers about this newfangled invention, the World Wide Web, and the concept of using dedicate browsers and some new language to tie it all together. I probably had my first chance to access it a year or two after reading that Tim Berners-Lee's report.
