Heavy censorship?

To be more precise, Heavy censorship of adult content due to moralist pressure on private entities scared of losing their "will get paid for our servers" status (often by companies like Verizon) which, like every other instance of heavy censorship in history, only led to people hiding it better. Shit like this is why I wish Ao3 had a larger user base tbh. Crummy as some of the content in that platform may be, at least it'll never censor me.

Think cumblr, pillowfort, and other sites like them stand a chance?

Honestly? I have no idea. The problem with the Tumblr ban is that the staff found out quickly wtf would happen if they took the moral purity stance seriously (which is why the "We'll delete all accounts that show even a nipple" was decreased to "we'll hide the very open ones so poor innocent eyes aren't harmed"). Fans (and, well, the people generally occupying Tumblr) have become used to it. Pillowfort in particular, I expect, might see a rise in membership but idk about the others.

That explains why they prevented archiving, so people cant move all the banned content to a new site
