Yeah from what I've seen that statement seems to be going well for them. They're going to toss possibly a quarter of their userbase off. Maybe over a quarter, I'll give it a generous 35% at the most. And I thought safe mode would suffice. Back then it was easy to see adult content by just using a search engine then clicking on any Tumblr site listed in the results. Turns out that some don't seem to be contented with the safe mode activation. Plus, they decide to ban everything adult content when what they needed was stronger monitoring of illegal material like child porn.

Maybe they'll change their minds if this decision significantly decreases their web traffic (or if they realize it).
