He's hot to trot and want to show some ladies the bright lights tonight- but when they see his age they think he ought to begin to take things a little quieter at his time of life.

Undeterred, he went to court to change his date of birth since he's as fit as a butcher's dog. They patted him on his head and they said,'Now be a good lad lad and go back to your bed otherwise you won't get your cocoa.'

Enough of my nonsense- I'm sure there's enough to talk about here- ageism, changing birth certificate for other things etc.

Cant believe this was an actual court case.


Also totally thought this was a porn spam post at first and was very hesitant to click on it.

I can only assume that whoever made the decision read the summary or what have you and curiosity got the better of them. I mean, wouldn't you?
As an editor I seam to spend an awful lot of thyme going threw issues and checking that they're no oblivious errars. Its a tough job but someone's got too do it!

Yeah, it's the basic flaw in his case really otherwise I.. I mean I guess he could just lie on his dating profile, legally changing his age wouldn't change that particularly. Or have fun with it, I'm sure I read about a person who essentially put something like 'cantankerous old bastard looking for miserable old woman to settle down with' and received a flood of replies.

I have been following this case for a while. People could be forgiven for thinking that it was a cynical parody jab by a spiteful individual at the fact that people can legally change their sex, but when you realise that the guy was deadly serious it just becomes a bit tragically pathetic really...

I am just amazed that it even got to the courts: I'm not surprised by the outcome, but just the fact that it wasn't thrown out before it reached court just baffles me.

If the kids I worked with had any say over the matter, I'd be in my 40s rather than 21, so I recommend we just let juries of seven year old kids determine how old everybody in society is.
