My name was inspired by John C. Calhoun, American political leader who was a congressman, the secretary of war, the seventh vice president (1825–32), a senator, and the secretary of state of the United States. He championed states’ rights and slavery and was a symbol of the Old South.

The real answer is I didn't know what the site was about and I didn't think I'd be here for fifteen fucking years and so when it asked me for a name I blanked. For some reason I forgot that I have a real life nickname that I use a variation of on every other site in the world and just wrote out "I can't think of a name".

Which got rejected because your name field doesn't accept special characters. I thought about starting a 'Walrustopia" or something like that but then I got the idea of making my flag an empty name tag and thought, "Eh, this will do."

I was temporarily banned under my old nation and wanted a new start so I used a name I came up with years before that. Ask ten year old Forsher.

It's possible the name is a derivative of the expression "For Sure". It is not, as has been jokingly suggested, a reference to the Foreshore which is a hugely hot button issue in NZ.
