I get it removed without getting all my internal organs removed.
Capitalism, single-payer healthcare, pro-choice, LGBT rights, progressive personal taxation, low corporate tax, pro-business law, welfare for those in need.

It's calm here. Yellow jackets are everywhere and the riots are in the news. But I don't think it's going to end soon. The situation is so critical that they want to use the État Urgence, a sort-of lighter Martial Law, basically more policemen, more security and more surveillance. Last time they did this it was after the Charlie Hebdo's attack if I remember it right.
At first, I was aiming for an utopia. Now, it's a reason to write bad-lore, upload pics on Imgur and explain how I became a spy for the USSR.

I wouldn't call the last state of emergency light martial law. The police and national guard had the power under it to do no knock raids on homes and high level surveillance across every city and town in france. There were soldiers in Paris.
France is basically a soft dictatorship. Macron didn't need to crush people's supposed freedom like Mao or Stalin because unlike Mao or Stalin, much of the population initially believed in him. But now that his popularity is waning and people are taking to the streets against the increasing gap between rich and poor, expect the illusion of democracy to go bye bye

I'd've figured at least somebody here who's been talking to leftists for 2+ years would know what the hell they're talking about whenever they make a reference to Communism, but apparently not.

Also, news flash, hun: Communists wouldn't perpetuate this disastrous consumer culture like Capitalism does.

A communist society wouldn't be post-scarcity. You would still feel the hunger for resources, friendo. You can't escape it. We don't have the technology for post-scarcity yet. This isn't Star Trek.

A Communist society, however, wouldn't produce to the point of extreme waste. In fact, it's pretty damn reasonable to argue that a Communist society wouldn't be producing hyper-cheap, easily replaceable goods, either, in favor of producing much smaller quantities of quality products instead. :^3

The simplicity of it is its concreteness. :^)

However, I'll let you put two and two together in this case, on the desperate hope you somehow don't make three or five from that.

Why, though? Why not produce cheap, easily-replaceable goods? What incentive would they have to not do that?

Ironic to think that the USSR military which was considered to make cheap crappy equipment now is praised for its quality goods.

I really am curious though about what would incentivize a commie society to not make cheap goods.

They still won't have a solution for resource scarcity. Producing cheap goods would still be a necessity in order to avoid wasting valuable resources.

Probably the main reason would be that there's no fucking need for it? It's way better in the long-term to have effective, long-lasting, quality items, first and foremost, and secondly the lack of a profit motive because, y'know, Communism, would mean there's no reason to produce cheap consumer goods that'd maximize profits because more items are being sold as replacements.

Other than conserving valuable resources?

You see, friendo, you're still ignoring the problem of resource scarcity which communism doesn't actually have a solution for.

It has a good solution to reduce the pains of it, which is to produce quality, long-lasting stuff that doesn't need to be replaced frequently instead of this consumerist bullshit, and it has a good solution to end it which is, of course, seizing the means of space resource production. :3
