Oh. . .you're fourteen? God, I barely did more than flirt at that age. I'm a little short on advice, then, since impressing teen girls isn't my specialty. My word on asking a girl out still stands, though. Also of vital importance are casual attitude, dress and hairstyle, but I'm not sure what's "in" with kids.

I'm the few types of kids that spends time with people, but the whole idea rarely succeeds....but when it does, I have a nice time with a girl I like. Isn't that really the point of dating, finding out what, and who you like? Not to mention having a good time?

BTW, I don't think your family can say shit about what you want to do. When you reach appropriate age, you have full legal right to join. Just make sure you graduate from high-school, refrain from drugs and other infractions, and don't get any tattoos.

Pfft. Boot camp is fun! Marches, camping, firing ranges, grenades, dirty songs, gas masks. If you aren't a moron, you got nothing to worry about. I have already gone through basic training once, and now it looks like I'm going to have again. Do you see me worrying? Nah. A couple of months that will make a man of you!
