people are still thinking of 'they' as a 'the', which makes no sense. billions of theys, billions of DIFFERENT worlds of "theys", no two alike.
most of them getting along with each other just fine, or they'd have already destroyed each other.
maybe a few rogues, but those always a minority.
and to keep from destroying each other, a galactic council is more likely then not.
and now it has to face to possibility that we might toddle out of our own cradle in a few decades.
if you don't try to look at it from their many probable sides, its all just fantasizing about things that are most likely real,
but just pretending to imagine anything about them.
the parallel here with beliefs, is that the unknown owes nothing to what we tell each other to pretend either.
no matter how long ago anyone might have carved it in stone or on bamboo.
