Your strangest hobbies?

I think the subject is clear enough.

I'll start:

* I frequently watch airplane take-off and landing videos on YouTube.

* The highlights of my vintage military memorabilia collection are 17 gas masks dating from WWI to the modern era.

* Cats. This might not seem strange to some, but if you have cats, then you'll understand.

Btw: Obviously you can exclude "playing NationStates" from your list.

Attempting alchemy, chaos magic, oneironautics, learning about as much proto-fascist/fascist historical figures and artists as I can, collecting small statues of eastern gods like Ganesh and Phra Phrom

A noble pursuit.

I'm a chemist in real life, but I've always secretly yearned to be an alchemist.

Heraldry - the science that focusses on armorial bearings, which are also -but unfortunately incorrectly- known as "coats-of-arms".

Rolepaying on nation stat- Wait I see those tiny words!

Painting tiny army men who fight against demons and orks in space.

Watching and listening to strange videos/music on YouTube

Collecting Star Wars stuff.

Collecting a libraries amount of books and then stacking them in my locker and I lend them to people.

I like to read, watch, and search for information about alien abductions though I find other subjects about Ufology to be fascinating.

I have entire notes and "apocrypha" about my IC nation and the neko, mostly based on New Spain, Conquest history, and social history. Though occasionally I do put in ideas I've read in things which I have to read in university classes. Needless to say, I'm not sure how many people are into fictitious anthropology and subtle jokes about cultural theories.

I collect small fragments of potsherds I find in archaeological sites, I probably shouldn't but, eh...so far I have Teotihuacan, Cuiculco and Xochicalco down.

Sometimes I try to guess the nationality of foreign tourists.

I collect certain medieval weaponry. Star Wars novels and comics (EU canon, fuck Disney canon). Military patches, squadron insignias and roundels, ww1 and ww2 memorabilia mostly from Germany, and patches from private militias and PMCs.

I'm roleplaying an anarchist commune on a site called NationStates.
Oh, and I like to imagine the intricacies of almost car-free transport in said anarchist commune and have spent countless hours drawing colorful squiggly lines on maps to represent tram lines and railways in the commune. I don't know. Other people enjoy sudoku, I guess.

Given my mom recently dropped by my house and told me in essence that I should take time off from my political activities irl and here, I begin to see the wisdom of that.

Well now, finally a place for this.

- Researching heraldry.
- Bullion collecting.
- Researching coins. (Spent my cash on bullion, so no coins to date. Except for the gold dollar I got as change the other day.)
- Vexilliology.
- Begging God for strength. (Still waiting...)

Dude, those are... pretty normal, if you're of a literary bent.

On that front, if someone drops by here claiming "writing poetry", I'll be most surprised, but for another reason.)

I lived in NYC for 8 months, and I used to like taking pictures of people taking pictures of other people taking pictures. * We may have met.

* I stopped when someone started taking pictures of me from an unmarked black van.
