The fact that I have nothing better to do.
My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.

What part of L(f(t)) = Int(exp(-s*t)*f(t),t,0,inf) don't you understand?

Role playing, and some spam....okay, lots of spam. But still, is fantastic, in fact if NS wasn't here, I'd be playing Cyber nations all the time, and RPing on Their forum, so stay, it's fun here.

The fact that someone always says something that pisses me off enough, or is wrong enough, for me to feel the need to argue with them.

My Doctor says my blood pressure is too low so he prescribed 1 abortion thread and 2 religion threads a week as remedy. :p

Just kidding; if anything the opposite would be more likely.

For a more serious answer I'm not sure really. It’s nice to talk to people whom I would otherwise never cross paths with, learn a different point of view and if I want to get into a heated discussion it’s less awkward the next day than had I done it with my co-workers.

Could just be procrastination mind you.

That's not so bad; wasn't September 11 hilarious? (My jokes are worse than yours, yes.)

And the above xkcd sums me up perfectly.

NSG is a rare place that is both community-like enough for me to get stuck rather than moving on like I would on a huge forum or blog comment thread, yet large and impersonal enough for me to take pleasure in formulating long, dispassionate (or passionate) arguments in favor or opposition of something, employing high-brow dismissal and sarcasm and lengthy run-on sentences that never seem to end, rather than becoming personally involved in the social circle (assuming there is one). Unlike on smaller boards, I don't recognize many people's names here and don't expect mine to be recognized by many.

Yeah, that's pretty much the quote I posted earlier in comic form. I think it's the reason most of us are here...
"Yes, indeed. Something like, perhaps, 'They Did The Job They Had To Do'?"
"No," said Vimes, coming to a halt under a lamp by the crypt entrance. "How dare you? How dare you! At this time! In this place! They did the job they didn't have to do, and they died doing it, and you can't give them anything. Do you understand? They fought for those who'd been abandoned, they fought for one another, and they were betrayed. Men like them always are. What good would a statue be? It'd just inspire new fools to believe they were going to be heroes. They wouldn't want that. Just let them be. Forever."

It's fascinating to see how a group of people playing a game that doesn't use a left-right political paradigm still conform to left-right politics.

Sorry, I just figured you guys would know what I'm talking about since you are at the point of actually critiquing your own behavior.
