And just as I post that I see a Tweet from Andrew Janz about at least twelve polling places in CA-22 being moved without anyone being informed.

Andrew Janz is a candidate standing for election in CA-22, btw.

We can learn a lot from each other, I think. Ireland could learn how to do postal voting. And America could learn how to have dogs at polling stations.

Why the dogs? Stress relief?

People just have dogs and brought them along when they went to vote. And the internet loves pictures of dogs, so they posted pictures of them, and it just spontaneously became a thing.

If voting was a waste of time, the GOP wouldn't be trying to suppress votes.

Yea, I honestly don't see Abbott losing the governor's seat.

Now Paxton (who is up for re-election as attorney general), might.

At least you have the Green Party on your ballot.

Only third party I've got is the Libertarian Party. It ain't bad that I have the Libertarian Party (I'm voting only Libertarian actually on my ballot), it's just the lack of choice I have that's bad.

Only if voting for a Republican or Democrat in a safe race is as well. Voting has an impact, regardless of who you vote for, saying any vote is wasted is rather silly.

The trick is vegan has a negative definition. Defined as someone who doesn't consume animal products.

I've yet to meet a tree that eats squirrels.

This is rather accurate, to be fair.

If increased turnout shows an even narrower margin in the elections than expected, parties are usually eager to spend more funds in campaigns in a state they think they can win for the next two years or so.

So it is not entirely useless tbh. There's a reason why the Libertarians tend to see Texas as a good state to back candidates, because they usually win a seat or two in our state government, so they are confident they can win an election if enough money is spent locally.

Being a vegan is just not eating animal products.
Trees don't eat animal products - unless you count dead animals that provide nutrients as they decompose as animal products.

Actually... trees ain't vegan now that I think about it.
