Something has to give. The rural-urban divide will hit a breaking point eventually. What that will lead to I cannot say.

Yes. Obama and his EO allowing him to drone Americans without due process

You want all Muslims deported from the United States and then suddenly care about a radicalized Muslim who was an active threat to the country who you'd want killed anyways getting due process? Oh right, gotta stick it to Obama.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.

Exactly.

Pelosi and Schumer win their individual elections with ease, but they are far from inspiring leaders and Pelosi's victory speech last night rubbed a lot of left-wing voters the wrong way.

God I hated that speech. She sounds like sandpaper

From what I was hearing the alternative was far too urban-centric.

Well that’s not working in Georgia, Florida, or Texas. So say good by to those states

Thing is tho, those states are becoming more Urban, not less as time goes on, they are also becoming younger and browner too. Given the GOP's standing policy is basically to shit on young, brown, and urban people it will not work out well for them in the long term.

Meanwhile Republicans were decimated in Harris and Dallas counties. I guarantee Texas will be a competitive state by 2024.

It's a weird world we live in. I saw Hispanics who said they were voting Republican because the Democrats are the "black people" party. And some replaced "black" with another word.

We should not think about elections in terms of urban vs. rural areas, we should think about it in terms of one person, one vote. The geographic demographics should not be viewed as blocs, as if city voters are one bloc with a collective will and rural voters are another bloc with their own collective will. There are Democrats out in the fields of Kansas and there are Republicans in San Francisco. When it comes down to it, every voter is an individual. If on an election day, everyone in New York City were magically dispersed throughout the rural areas of America and 8 million people from the rural areas were magically transported to New York City, it would be the same people casting the same votes.

Likewise you don't understand the mentality of a lot of city folk and how it continuously leads to fuck ups and the purposeful disregard for the lives of people living outside of the city.

Suburbs are the worst though, seriously fuck the burbs so goddamn much.

Apparently Gillum and Nelson are rescinding their concessions as their margins keeps getting narrower. Recounts are becoming likely.
