I mean, you can call it whatever you want if it lets you sleep at night, but the fact is that the man has been openly talking about mass murder of minorities and political opponents and the destruction of democracy for his entire political career. Authoritarianism is a form of government characterised by strong central power and limited political freedoms. Totalitarianism is just that dialled to 11. Authoritarianism and Totalitarianism are fruits of the same tree. Fascists are authoritarian, to an enormous degree.

Fascists harken back to a glorious past, despise feminism and want to see women being housewives. They literally want to return to a period when the country was great. If that is not conservative, I don't know what is. Yeah, sure, they want to build the country from the ground up, but only to achieve those socially conservative goals.

Trump is still confined by the bounds of the constitution. His government cannot be radical right-wing due to the checks and balances of the office.
