Hell, there's Brazilians right in this very thread that think Bolsonaro's regime will turn out to be a good thing.

If we're actually taking the rhetorics of both candidates at face value here, the alternative is unilateral repudiation of debt, mass nationalizations, property and land expropriation, and destructive socialist policies in general regardless of constitutional constraints.

Fernando Haddad of the Leftist Workers Party for President with With Manuela Pinto d'Ávila of the Communist Party of Brazil scares me more that she might influence her party's policies on Fernando Hadddad than.
Former Captain Jair Bolsonaro and and retired General Antônio Hamilton Mourão of the Far Right Conservative Social Liberal Party of Brazil as President and Vice President, that favors a capitalist economy of corporations and small private Businesses to improve the lives of all Brazilians.

This is one of the very, very few times I will ever argue for this, but I think Democracy should be abolished in Brazil, at least on a temporary basis. If the people are genuinely willing to elect a literal fascist like Bolsonaro, they cannot be trusted with rulership of the country. This is a last resort. In all of history, the only other times I would have done this were early 1930s Germany and Austria, and modern-day Philippines, but it's the only way to keep the people of Brazil safe from Bolsonaro. Democracy is almost always good, and today is one of the few exceptions.

and that is a problem with democracy. The enemy of democracy can be the people themselves., In my view the planet comes before the needs of the people. Without the Amazon the planet is uninhabitable. Sometimes who the people chose should not be allowed to take office.Someone like Bolsonaro has no business being a leader.

So basically "they didn't vote the way I wanted it to be, so abolish democracy to make sure they vote for the right person" umm no that's incredibly stupid.
