Don't need a hair dryer, you've got the sun - and wind when hiking across the balds - to act as nature's hair dryer.

I can confirm that nature is quite the effective hair dryer...and body dryer.

Quite saddening that I did not try coconut water in the Dominican Republic, but they kept charging a ludicrous price on said water, sooo...

On the other hand, I had a swig of rum and coke, and I was quickly reminded why I dislike alcohol.

Seriously? Where coconuts are so plentiful and they were charging a lot for one? Sad. Nothing is better than drinking water straight out of the chilled coconut. There are, if you're interested in trying coconut water either way, some good brands out there. VitaCoco is good and the one I drink, Real Coco, is honestly the closest to tasting it from the coconut itself.

As long as it isn't rum (i.e. literally liquid concentrated sugar), I'll have a try.

No rum, no worries. But rum with cold coconut water is actually pretty good.

Drink responsibly and if you're of age.

Trust me, I think I am very well aware of drinking responsibly when one of the girls I met on the catamaran got dead drunk.

I should have added that that last part was me just imitating some of those commercials you see on TV about alcohol consumption.

Back when I was in high school, we went on a school trip to the Snowy Mountains, and we were supposed to climb Kosciusko, Australia's tallest mountain, but the trail was closed because some guy from the Canadian military got lost in the snow. (and whilst I could be wrong, I'm pretty sure he had all of his non-weapon equipment with him). Which begs the question, how does a soldier from Canada- CANADA- get lost in snow? And Kosciusko isn't significantly taller than the mountains you got on the east coast (except Ontario, that is. It's much taller than Ontario's peaks). What kind of army do you got up there?
