She’s pretty big on grammar and languages, definitely more than I’ve ever seen any English teachers, so I’m gonna be learning German looks like, I’ve asked her to teach me.

I speak a tiny bit of German. It's fairly similar to English. I didn't have too hard of a time learning what I know.

German is the language of angry people!

German only sounds angry to people who hear very specific dialects from the south. My German sounds more insulted than anything else.

Good luck, German is a great language. It is easier to learn than English, though, because it follows its own rules.

Ironically enough, Québécois is more authentic and vintage than French because it directly descends from dialects that have been absorbed by the Paris dialect (which is the basis for modern-day French).

As mentioned. 1. Quobese, doesnt count, an American in Paris speaking English can get laid, a montrealler speakingn french can not.

2. In my time of travels (France excepted), the only time I had consistently lost in a conversation when trying to flirt with a woman is when the other fellow spoke fluent french.

Good luck, German is a great language. It is easier to learn than English, though, because it follows its own rules.

My issues are going to be largely grammatical it seems. The sounds I can do, the accent I can quickly develop since I never seem to have a problem with those, but it seems to follow a different sentence pattern than English, or languages such as Spanish or Polish, which both follow essentially the same sentence structure.

The grammar's going to come as I learn, I guess, so for now it'll just be memorization.

My sergeant is going to go through the proper channels, at my request following a discussion about my goals in life, to see if he can get me into a financial internship-like program our installation does whenever W-2s come out. I'm gonna go out for about a month or two and work for the financial office doing all kinds of soldiers' taxes , including my own, and ultimately being qualified as a half-decent tax consultant by the end. That's the spiel I was given, at least.
