Many times, I see people on the left try to link the alt right with the normal right or with traditional white supremacy movements, and this is where I stop them.

The Alt Right is not very similar to the normal right wing in America. The normal right has capitulated to the Alt Right's favorite president, but their original ideas before they sold out were often antithetical to the alt right. The traditional right supported big business while the alt right views corporate elite as untrustworthy destroyers of western society through free trade for economic goals and outsourcing of jobs. The trad right was really into the christian shtick while the alt right tends to be atheistic or neo-pagan. While traditional white supremacists such as the KKK also were fundamentalist protestants who believed it was "God's will" the races stay unmixed, the alt right doesnt have an underlying "this is moral" them, but instead sees the world as an endless struggle between societies and peoples for survival, basically a kill or be killed mentality. They don't really have morals past that, especially since many of the most famous alt righters are known psychopaths and sociopaths who believe their goals supercede any moral code. To an alt righter, the reason they want to ethnically cleanse america of black and brown folks is not because of "God's will," but because in their eyes, black and brown people are inferior and a threat to the white people of America and Europe. They believe that if enough black and brown people enter America or Europe, they'll either dilute out the culture and genes over a generation, or will abruptly kill off the white people, a reflection of their own genocidal mindset. The Alt Right are more similar to nazis than republicans or the Klan. They're honestly foreign in nature to the US, sharing more in common with the far right of Europe, which is heavily fascistic.

Spencer is obviously not stable, and his cronies aren't either. In their dark fantasy, the colored people of earth are just plotting to pillage and destroy America like barbarians at the gates, and the alt right comes to fear random Mexicans more than they fear other people of their own ethnicity. I know many of their followers are trailer trash, even though the top leaders are often college educated no-names who couldnt get a job and sank into deep fury as a result. They should be afraid of a meth lab exploding next door, or someone from their trailer park shooting them at a bar one night, but they're instead worried about some non existent horde of "colored people" (most of whom are arabs and hispanics who are caucasians, and would be white in a normal, sane western society) coming and destroying their town. These people are living in an alternate reality worse than the one we inhabit.

The funny thing too is that they're punks. They brag about kicking antifa's ass but antifa is an easy fight. They only fight basement dwelling communists because they got brutally beat down in Anaheim, they couldnt go to sterling heights michigan because the police let them know many of the people there wanted them gone, they wont go do a rally in south bronx, and they never in a million years would have an event on Chicago's South Side. They're content ganging up on some muslim woman walking her kids to school, but if a group of esses appears, they run in every direction. They're not revolutionaries. They're thugs. They're insane criminals who would destroy this country if given a chance.
