I would think that people who might not be able to return to their homes for years, if ever, would want to make the best possible lives for themselves, not the closest possible lives.

Walking hundreds of miles through two entire countries doesn't reek of separation. Seems more like pickiness. If they can afford to be picky then I doubt their desparation.

Doubt whatever you want, doesn't make any difference. No law says "You must be at least this desperate to be granted asylum".

It's really not obvious when you initially said "Send the National Guard to the border and don't let any of them through." Kinda makes it seem like you want the National Guard to do something to stop these people from getting through.

I'm sure they can build barriers and things like that. But no. I want them to assist the Border Patrol who will likely be swamped under the weight of over 10,000 of these entitled idiots.
