The notion of the elites being blinded by free market is quite hilarious when you consider America's worst ills - housing crisis driven by NIMBY activism and omniregulatory bureaucracy, credential inflation driven by oversubsidization in education, marriage market with unilateral no-fault divorce essentially rendering marriage contract obsolete and unenforceable.
