The negative connotations of it, I'd say.

That said, if you want multiple partners, who the fuck am I to hold you back and pretend I'm somehow the superior moral ground?

Xi is his family name, silly.

Quite apart from that, the name of the dynasty in Imperial China was never the family name of the imperial clan; it was more like the name of the state. The Han dynasty was founded by the Liu clan, the Tang dynasty was founded by the Li clan, the Song by Zhao clan and so forth. So it wouldn't be the "Xi" dynasty either, unless by coincidence a character was chosen for the dynasty's name that had the same pronunciation as the surname "Xi."

I would consider the Nazis right-wing given their fundamentally hierarchical conception of society, but my own ideological views don't draw upon Nazism or Fascism at all and in fact are much closer to people who actively fought them. Churchill was right-wing too, you know.

Funnily enough, the same was true of quite a few monarchy in Europe too with the de Valois and de Bourbon dynasty being still referred to as Capet even up to the Révolution.

True. I've tried pointing out that there are links between polygamy and increased social unrest, violence, etc and it barely registered because "muh anti-Christianity".

I was legit under the impression modern Christianity was very much against polygamy.

Having multiple consensual romantic partners isn't cheating. Cheating is without the consent of one of the spouses. Polyamory is not.

It very much is cheating. Relationship is between two persons, not more, and thus polygamists can't be anything but adulterers given they try and hold multiple relationships at once.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infidelity:
"Infidelity (synonyms include: cheating, adultery (when married), being unfaithful, or having an affair) is a violation of a couple's assumed or stated contract regarding emotional and/or sexual exclusivity.[1] Other scholars define infidelity as a violation according to the subjective feeling that one's partner has violated a set of rules or relationship norms; this violation results in feelings of sexual jealousy and rivalry."

In this context, "violation" of a set of rules would mean that one partner betrayed relationship of their other partner, hence there being no consent from both parties.
"Polyamorous relationships are distinguished from extramarital affairs by the full disclosure and consent of all involved."

As you can see, all parties consent tobhaving multiple partners, hence, not cheating.

This as well:
"Infidelity is breaking a promise to remain faithful to a sexual partner, whether that be marriage vows sanctified by the state or privately uttered agreements between lovers."

Obvs if you're "breaking a promise" that means you are doing something without the consent of said promise and outside the other promisee's (is that a word?) wishes. Again, polyamory does not do that.

The same thing that I presume the political left thinks about their legacy with Stalin, Pol Pot (the Khmer Rouge), Mao, the Kims, et al. Hitler and the National Socialists no more represent mainstream right-wing thought than Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge represent mainstream left-wing thought.

Not to be excessively hubristic, but I would be willing to say that I may not find enough atheists that object to the idea of polyamory in doctrina, I would stake a significant sum that a majority of Atheists would object in praxi to polygamy in the form it is usually encountered in the modern world with its inherent abusiveness to women and perpetuation of a backward and barbarous views of women and the place of men and women in society, nevermind the social ills associated with it due to it remaining prevalent primarily in poorer and more impoverished places.

It's Brazil.

The country's past two presidents (minus Temer since he was just a fill-in) have been highly corrupt and incompetent leaders, the latter of which was outright impeached.

Bolsonaro can hardly do worse.
