Hello, NSG. How is everyone's days or nights going?

I wanted to start a thread on cats.

Do you own any cats?

If so, what kind?

I and my mother own two cats though I'm unsure what kind they are. Yet, they're black and white. One has a white mustache and one has a white stripe on her nose. Both are very fluffy and loving. :p

One of mine is an asshole half the time and awesome the other half.

The other is a mouthy bitch who needs to learn when to shut the fuck up and stop eating. Fat ass.

I have two adorable cats that were adopted a number of years ago. One's a small tabby named Turbo and the other is a fat ass tuxedo named Sebastian. They're pretty much the greatest pets ever.

I've owned at least 1 cat at any given time for 16 years straight. I've had 1 black Norwegian Forest Cat, 1 dark orange/red Tabby, and 1 American Shorthair/Siamese mix. I also had one that I didn't own, but she was technically my cat (It's complicated).

Real talk, these past 4 years are the longest I've been without one (Still have a dog though, so I can still say I've had pets for my entire life).

I really wanted one, but not anytime soon. With the busy university life, I'm afraid that I'll neglect them too often.

I have a soft spot for orange tabbies. :P

We used to have an orange tabby. He lived a long life. Older than my sister who is 24. He died four years ago

I have a wonderful orange cat named Jack - or Jacques, if I'm feeling fancy and/or French. He's a sweetheart.

Our old neighbors had a cat named lucky that was like 21 when they moved away a few years ago. She might still be alive for all I know. The stubborn ones always live the longest.

I prefer dogs, tbh, though.

Not to mention the fact that they're sacred in my faith :P

Everything is worse than dogs, even humans.

But yeah, cats are assholes. Never met one that wasn't.

your cats are just waiting for their alien masters to give the order to assume direct control.

While I'm definitely a dog person, and possess a minor fear of cats following an unfortunate incident when I was younger, my friend has a lovely cat. It is fat, Fluffy, lazy and white furred. We call it the pillow that walks and it is lovely

Seems like some cats really do live a long life! I always thought they'll go by 15-18.

And with that said, even as a cat lover, I agree with Uxupox. Cats are assholes, but dammit, they're lovable assholes... most of the time. Some just hate you for no reason, and some really loves you and purrs around you.

Some live longer.

The longest recorded lifespan is 38

Grey and white, named Mittens, was adopted by another family. She was cute but we hated each other, just as a cat and human should be. Anyways, cats are nice. They just shouldn't be anywhere near my rats.

Does Costa own any cats?

Costa does not own cats personally, but looks after the family cats.

If so, what kind?

Currently Costa looks after three cats, two of which are tabby cats and one of which Costa does not know what kind.

Costa is torn because Costa likes cats, and cats like Costa, but Costa knows they kill native birds, and Costa also likes native birds.

I have one black cat. Her name is Hijinks she’s three now.
I found her as a stray in the abandoned warehouse where I grew up as a teenager.
She was pregnant and had four kittens not long after I rescued her.
The kittens live with friends.

She is the best living thing on the planet.
